"The Hidden Epidemic: Predicting Liver Health Without an MRI"
Speaker: Alejandro Miron Jabalera, MS is a bioengineer and researcher currently pursuing his PhD in Bioengineering at UCLA.
Session Details: Fatty liver disease, a key sign of cardiometabolic syndrome, is an increasing public health concern as it raises the risk of heart attack and stroke. This session will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning can help predict liver health and overall cardiometabolic risk, offering new possibilities for precision nutrition. Alejandro will share insights from a 26-week study where people who ate a diet rich in avocados saw significant improvements in liver health and overall diet quality. This innovative work could equip healthcare professionals with new ways to prevent fatty liver disease and related cardiometabolic complications. We hope you can join us for this informative talk.
